Originally designed by Gordon McKay in the mid 60s, Squamish Valley
Golf and Country Club was re-designed by architect Robert Muir Graves
in 1992. The changes to this championship length course have been
enthusiastically received.
Cut from a mature timber forest, Squamish Valley rewards visitors
with spectacular mountain vistas in every direction. Overhead, golfers
are almost guaranteed a glimpse of a bald eagle or two, especially
in November and February, as Squamish Valley is directly on their
migration route.
But golfers will find good reason to keep their heads down, as
they won't want to miss much of the captivating course that draws
large numbers of golfers from Vancouver.
Of several great holes the 4th is worth mentioning. This par four
measures 423 yards from the back tee, and is considered the biggest
challenge of the course. The hole is a slight dogleg right and requires
a long tee shot to attain proper placement for the approach to the
green. The green itself is two tiered and elevated, with a large
bunker off its left side.

Golf Attire
Dress Code: Shirts with collars and sleeves. Shorts must be
tailored and of moderate length. Short shorts, halter tops and blue
jeans of any kind are not permitted
Soft Spikes: Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club is a
spikeless/soft spike facility. Metal spikes are not allowed on the
golf course.
Directions
Driving from Whistler: As your enter the Squamish
area from the north (Whistler) and approach your first traffic (Burger
King on the right) carry on through the light. Prepare to turn left
at the next traffic light...just a quarter of a mile(Mamquam Road).
Drive along Mamquam Road for about a mile - you should be able to
see the 16th, 17th, and 18th fairways on your right through the
trees. The parking lot is on the right side with overflow parking
on the left side (across the road from the parking lot).
