Whistler's only boutique hotel set to open
Owner-operated Sundial Boutique Hotel a jewel in the heart of Whistler
Whistler, B.C., November 14, 2003 - The Sundial Boutique Hotel, Whistler’s only owner-operated boutique hotel experience, today announced it will open December 15, in time for Christmas. The new intimate hotel, located a snowball’s throw away from both the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas, has had over $8.5 million dedicated to creating 49 individually designed one and two-bedroom spacious suites, eight with private hot tubs.
“The Sundial Boutique Hotel is a little jewel in the heart of Whistler,” said David Demers, principal owner and operator, “Imagine the ultimate location, add in west coast intimacy, uniquely spacious suites and personalized service to write home about – that’s the Sundial.”
With an eye to creating a unique experience in Whistler, each of the 49 suites has distinctive character and décor with one of 17 different floor plans. Guests will enjoy spacious suites complete with a full-size kitchen and appliances, gas fireplace, bathrooms and bedrooms with the finest of linens, slate flooring, granite countertops and panoramic views. Only steps away from restaurants, shopping and night life, guests can indulge in Whistler’s wide range of activities or simply enjoy the breathtaking view from their private balconies and hot tubs.
The team at the Sundial Boutique Hotel manages every detail of every day from ensuring that the special oils, bubble bath and candles in guest rooms are fully stocked to arranging for doggie day care, ski waxing and in-room personal chefs to create a gourmet meal by the fire. The hotel is committed to offering a level of service that has guests talking as much about the Sundial as the world-class skiing. According to Demers, “When you’re a small hotel next to two very large mountains, your standards better be high.”
The Sundial Boutique Hotel is the only owner-operated boutique hotel experience in Whistler, the Host City for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and one of the top ski destinations on the continent. Located in the heart of Whistler Village this small, intimate hotel offers 49 spacious suites with full-sized kitchens, unparalleled mountain scenery and private hot tubs. Set to open December 15, 2003, reservations can be made now by calling 1-800-661-2321 or by visiting www.sundialhotel.com.
