WHISTLER, BC, June 12, 2006 – Whistler Blackcomb is set to open a 10 kilometre, high alpine hiking trail this August. In anticipation of the trail opening, Whistler Blackcomb is running a contest to name the trail.
"We’re really excited to open this beautiful high alpine trail," says Stuart Rempel, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Whistler Blackcomb. "It will be our most visually stunning trail, guiding hikers to viewpoints overlooking Cheakamus Lake that will include unmatched alpine views of the coastal mountains and impressive glaciers."
The person who submits the winning trail name will win a Whistler Blackcomb Hiking Prize Pack that includes: a $200 Whistler Blackcomb gift card, a Suunto S6 wristtop computer and a Dakine Helipack backpack.
