Whistler Community Church
In 1977 a bible club started in Whistler in the local elementary
school, and 1979 a small group of people began meeting for Sunday
services in the interfaith Skiers Chapel at Whistler Creekside.
In 1980 this group formally associated with the B.C. Confederation of Mennonite Brethren Churches, an evangelical Christian denomination with about 90 churchs across the province.
The church outgrew the Skiers Chapel and, since April, 1993, has been meeting in the Myrtle Philip Community Centre and currently in the early stages of building their own worship facility in the White Gold neighbourhood.
