Whistler Opening Day 2011

So it's official, Whistler Mountain is open and skiers and snowboarders flocked to the mountain to get their first ride of the season in. Fortunately for me, I was one of the lucky ones at the Sundial to personally test & confirm for our guests that indeed the mountain was truly open.

With all the fresh snow over the past few weeks I was able to experience opening day like it’s meant to be experienced. You really can’t get much closer to the gondolas then from the Sundial Boutique Hotel. Up on the mountain plenty of fresh tracks were to be found everywhere along with beautiful 360 degree views of Whistler and its surroundings.

With the forecast calling for blue bird skies this weekend and plenty of snow mid-week, it looks like the spectacular ski and snowboard days are here. I hope you can join us.
