How-to;
Connecting your device to Smart TV
Option 1: Watch Netflix or Disney+ Using an Apple TV
1. Request an Apple TV: If you want to watch Netflix or Disney+, request an Apple TV from the front desk. A Houseperson will bring it to your room and set it on TV.
2. Login: The front desk has the hotel’s login information for Netflix and Disney+, which can be used to log in and watch your favorite shows and movies.
3. Note: You won’t be able to stream or screen mirror directly from your phone through the Apple TV.
Reminder: if you log into the Apple TV using your own login, make sure to log out because future guests can access movies through signed in account.
Option 2: Stream from Your Phone Using Chromecast
1. Use Chromecast: To stream content from apps like YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, or other streaming services from your phone, you can use the Chromecast that is already connected to the TV.
2. Switch to HDMI 1: Switch the input to HDMI 1 on the TV. This will activate the Chromecast.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure your phone is connected to the "Sundial Gu” network. Ensure that the last name you use to connect to the Wi-Fi matches exactly with the name on file. This is case-sensitive.
4. Open Your Streaming App: Open the app you’d like to stream from on your phone.
5. Start Casting: Press the cast or screen mirror button within the app, then select the Chromecast device listed to start streaming to the TV.
